This Privacy Policy explains what information BigTicketResults.com collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. It applies to this website at and to our official Android application (together, the “Service”).
BigTicketResults.com is an independent news and results website. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Big Ticket Abu Dhabi or Abu Dhabi Duty Free. We do not sell tickets, we do not accept entries or wagers, and we do not process any payments.
Who We Are
The Service is operated by the team behind BigTicketResults.com. For any privacy question, data request or complaint, contact us through our contact page. We aim to respond to privacy requests within 30 days.
Information We Collect
Information collected automatically
When you use the Service, certain information is collected automatically by us and by our service providers:
- Device and connection data: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device type, screen size and language.
- Usage data: pages viewed, time spent, referring website, links clicked, and approximate location derived from your IP address (country or city level).
- Cookies and similar technologies: small files and identifiers stored on your device, described in the Cookies section below.
Information you provide
- Comments: if you leave a comment, we collect the information in the comment form, plus your IP address and browser user agent string, which help with spam detection. An anonymised hash of your email address may be sent to Gravatar to check for a profile picture.
- Contact messages: if you contact us, we receive the details you choose to send, such as your name, email address and message.
- Push notification subscriptions: if you opt in to result alerts, a subscription identifier for your browser is stored by our notification provider.
We do not ask for and do not want financial information, identity documents or account credentials. Never send us your ticket payment details or Emirates ID.
Advertising and Google AdSense
The Service is supported by advertising. We display advertisements through Google AdSense, and the following disclosures apply:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
- Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to the Service and/or other sites on the internet.
- You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of a third-party vendor’s use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info or, in Europe, at youronlinechoices.eu.
- Advertisers other than Google may also place cookies. We do not control these third-party cookies and recommend reviewing the relevant vendor’s own privacy policy.
Advertising content is selected by Google and its partners, not by us. The appearance of an advertisement on the Service is not an endorsement or recommendation by BigTicketResults.com. Google’s own handling of data is described in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how the Service is used, so we can improve it. Google Analytics sets cookies and collects usage and device data as described above. You can prevent this by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on or by declining analytics cookies where a consent prompt is shown.
Push Notifications
If you choose to receive draw result alerts, we use OneSignal to deliver them. OneSignal stores a subscription identifier together with basic device and browser information so the message can be routed to you. We use these notifications only to announce new results and site updates.
Push notifications are a website feature. Our app contains no notification component of its own and requests no notification permission; if you opt in while reading pages, the alerts are delivered by your browser. You can withdraw consent at any time through your browser’s notification settings for this site, and unsubscribing stops all further notifications.
Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. The Service uses:
- Strictly necessary cookies – required for the site to function, including security and caching.
- Preference cookies – if you leave a comment you may opt in to saving your name, email address and website for next time. These last one year.
- Analytics cookies – set by Google Analytics to measure usage.
- Advertising cookies – set by Google and other advertising vendors to select and measure ads.
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings, and the advertising controls listed above let you turn off personalised ads. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the Service working.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to our use of your personal information, to withdraw consent, and to receive a copy of your data in a portable format. To exercise any of these, contact us through our contact page.
California residents: we do not sell your personal information for money. Some sharing of advertising identifiers with advertising partners may be treated as “sharing” for cross-context behavioural advertising under the CCPA/CPRA. You can opt out using the advertising controls listed above, or by enabling a Global Privacy Control signal in your browser. You also have the right not to be discriminated against for exercising your privacy rights.
If you are in the EEA or UK and believe we have not resolved your concern, you may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Data Deletion Requests
You can ask us to delete the personal information associated with your use of the Service, whether you used the website or the app. No account is needed to make a request.
- How to request: send us a deletion request through our contact page with the subject “Data deletion request”. Tell us what you would like removed – for example a comment you posted, a message you sent us, or your notification subscription – so that we can find it.
- What we delete: comments and their metadata, contact messages, and push notification subscriptions held for you. Where information is held by a provider on our behalf, we pass the request on to them.
- Timing: we acknowledge requests as quickly as we can and complete them within 30 days. We may keep the minimum information needed to comply with a legal obligation or to prevent spam and abuse.
- Self-service alternatives: you can unsubscribe from notifications at any time in your browser’s site settings, clear cookies for this site in your browser, and reset or delete advertising identifiers using the advertising controls listed above. Uninstalling the app removes it from your device.
Our Mobile Application
Our Android application presents the same results and articles published on this website, opened in your device’s browser engine. The following applies to the app:
- No account is required. You can read every result and article without registering or signing in.
- No gambling functionality. The app does not sell tickets, accept entries, process payments or offer real-money or simulated gambling. It is an information and results reader.
- One permission. The app requests internet access only. It does not read your device identifiers, contacts, location, storage or advertising ID.
- Advertising and analytics operate in the app on the same basis as on the website, as described above.
- Deletion. To request deletion of data associated with your use of the app, follow the Data Deletion Requests section above.
Data Retention
Comments and their metadata are kept indefinitely unless you ask us to remove them. Contact messages are kept for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry. Analytics and advertising data are retained according to the retention settings of the relevant provider. Push subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe.
Sharing and International Transfers
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the service providers that make the Service work, including our hosting and content delivery providers, Google (advertising and analytics), OneSignal (notifications) and Gravatar (comment avatars, if you use it). These providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States, under the safeguards set out in their own privacy terms.
We may also disclose information where required by law, or to protect our rights, safety or property.
Embedded Content and External Links
Articles on this site may include embedded content such as videos or images. Embedded content from other websites behaves exactly as if you had visited that website, and those sites may collect data about you, set cookies and monitor your interaction with the embedded content. Links to external sites, including the official Big Ticket website, are provided for reference; we are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.
Age Restriction and Children’s Privacy
The Service publishes information about draws and prizes and is intended for adults. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. Entry to Big Ticket is restricted to adults by its operator; we neither facilitate nor enable participation. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
The Service is served over encrypted HTTPS connections and sits behind a content delivery network that filters malicious traffic. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last revised. Material changes will be highlighted on this page.
